SIMBA Bhora are expected to leave the country today for their CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg clash in Botswana where they are hosting Nsingizini Hotspurs of Eswatini.
The fixture is set for the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown at 8pm on Sunday.
The reverse fixture will be played next week on Sunday in Eswatini.
Hard Rock owner, Shepherd Chahwanda, donated $6,000 to the champions.
MWOS boss Patrick Tamson also weighed in with the donation of two buses that will ferry Simba Bhora fans to support their team in these two fixtures.
The champions are going into this assignment on the back of a goalless draw against Scottland.
The point, which they gained in that heavyweight clash, probably boosted their confidence in their quest to expand their horizons in the continent’s flagship knockout competition.
Simba Bhora have done well in their bid to reclaim the championship as they are leading the championship race with 55 points.
They are just two points clear of the Scotts.
Coach Joel Luphahla feels being drawn against a regional opponent in the early stages of the tournament makes life easier for them.
The former Warriors forward also challenged his troops to come to the party as this could be a life-changing opportunity for some of them.
“It’s an opportunity for our players because most of them are 25 and below, which is a good age for scouts. It is also a big opportunity for the club to leave a mark,” said Luphahla.
“The good thing is that we were drawn against a Southern African team which makes it comfortable for us to approach this game without any fear because we play the same type of football.
“We just have to maintain our confidence and try our best to progress to the next round of the tournament.”
