Zimbabwean-rooted Simba Kudyiwa has found himself at the centre of drama on Love Island UK after the explosive Casa Amor twist ended his romance with Angelista Gunda.

Casa Amor, one of the show’s most dramatic phases, splits the villa in two as new contestants are introduced to test existing relationships. Islanders must then decide whether to stay loyal or recouple with someone new.

Before the twist, Simba and Angelista had emerged as one of the season’s standout couples after Simba entered the villa as a bombshell and quickly chose her. Their connection attracted strong support from Zimbabwean viewers, especially after Simba’s brother had earlier sparked speculation on social media about Angelista being his preferred match.

However, the relationship took a sharp turn once Casa Amor began. Simba made it clear he was open to exploring new connections, repeatedly stating he was “definitely, definitely, definitely, definitely open” to getting to know other contestants. He went on to bond with Casa Amor bombshells Neveah and Mara, eventually sharing a kiss with Mara.

The biggest shock came during the recoupling, where Simba returned to the main villa hand-in-hand with Mara, while Angelista remained loyal and chose to stay single in hopes of reuniting with him.

The emotional moment left Angelista visibly heartbroken and quickly became one of the most talked-about scenes of the episode.

Simba’s decision has since divided viewers, with many questioning his approach to the relationship and how he handled the recoupling process. His interactions with other Casa Amor contestants have also sparked tension in the villa as the season intensifies.

With Casa Amor now concluded, the islanders are settling into new pairings as the competition heads toward its final stages. Attention now turns to whether Simba and Angelista’s connection is truly over, or if another twist could still rewrite their story before the final.

Love Island UK is a hit British dating reality show where single “Islanders” live in an isolated luxury villa to find love and avoid being dumped. Hosted by Maya Jama and narrated by Iain Stirling, the show features dramatic recouplings, public voting, and bombshell arrivals fighting for a grand cash prize. The format revolves around couples testing their loyalties, frequently disrupted by twists like “Casa Amor,” which temporarily separates the original couples into two different villas to introduce new singles. The winning couple typically splits a £50 000 cash prize.
