TWO Simbisa Brands employees appeared in court facing theft charges involving US$1 000.

Simbisa Brands’ acting manager, Tawanda Calvin Taruvinga, 30, and Pizza Inn employee Kudakwashe Makoni, 20, appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi and were each granted $50 000 bail.

They will be back in court on November 29.

Their accomplice, Heather Takawira, is still at large.

It is the State’s case that sometime this month, the two hatched a plan to steal from the company.

From September 9-14, the two allegedly transferred the company’s money into Takawira’s InnBucks account.

The offence came to light when Simbisa suspected that the three were stealing from the company.

Investigations were conducted, leading to the arrest of Taruvinga and Makoni.
