UPCOMING sungura musician Knowledge Mbavara is set to release singles promoting the girl child on November 4.

Mbavara, who was inspired by the late Paul Matavire, is expected to release two singles titled Hariputirwe and Sugar Daddy.

Speaking to H-Metro, the musician said the singles talk about women and girls have now changed their ways these days.

“Sugar Daddy talks about how young girls are falling in love with old and aged men and the opposite is true for young boys as well.

“There are major elements which are pushing young generations to do things that they can later not be proud of.

“Some of those elements include drug abuse and peer pressure, which is described in simple language, as competition for no gain,” he said.

Mbavara added: Hariputirwe talks about the increased levels of infidelity amongst women.

“Women were known to be disciplined and committed towards their husbands regardless of their wrong doings.

“Women nowadays retaliate when their husbands do any small thing which hurts them.”

He said he felt they needed to release more music for their fans.

“We have realised, as a band, that people have long been starving for new stuff from us since the release of our previous album, ‘Doctor Love,’ and we need to constantly release more music,” he said.

He also is set to release a single for his fans for the festive seasons.

“I am happy with the progress I have made so far as I have released two albums, Sekeramudende and Doctor Love, within six  months of the year 2022.

“I will close chapters this year by releasing a single called ‘Xmas Yasvika.’

“The song will be released on the 1st of December 2022, chapters will be closed for 2022.”
