Legendary former Manchester United manager and current director on the club’s football board, Sir Alex Ferguson, was yesterday afternoon spotted at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe, marking yet another high-profile visit to the region.

Ferguson posed for photos with the team, creating a buzz among locals and fans who were excited about his visit.

The photo session took place in front of one of the falls, the world’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

While it remains unclear how long Ferguson will be in the country, his visit is a testament to the allure of Victoria Falls—where sport, history, and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony.

Fans were quick to show their excitement about Sir Alex Ferguson’s visit to Victoria Falls, with reactions flooding social media.

“Just when you thought Vic Falls couldn’t get any more majestic! Sir Alex Ferguson spotted soaking up the natural wonder of Victoria Falls today! Zimbabwe, the ultimate tourist destination,” @CH Mukungunu commented on X (formally twitter)

Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, has long been a favourite destination for international celebrities.

Ferguson’s visit adds to a growing list of high-profile personalities of Hollywood stars and couple, Mr Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones who have been drawn to Zimbabwe’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife experiences.

As Southern Africa continues to attract global sports figures, the region stands to benefit from both increased tourism revenue and the development of youth sports programmes inspired by these influential football icons.
