Sithole, Masosonere win big in Mutare

COUNTRY Club Body-builder Blessing “CC Banks” Sithole, successfully defended his Mr Manicaland Classic, Men’s Physique title, at Golden Peacock in Mutare on Saturday. 

Sithole arrived at the tourney fresh from winning at the Arnolds Classic in South Africa. “I am very happy with the win and I had trained hard for the title,’’ he said. 

“The competition was tough but I am happy that the judges saw something in me that I was in the best shape. 

“I was looking forward to successfully defend my title. “It was just another normal outing and I give credit to the guys who gave me a good run. 

“I am not going to relax but prepare for Harare Classic which is on this Saturday,” said the Harare-based hulk. 

He got the better of Genius Garai and Munengoni Tarusarira who finished second and third. In the senior Men Body-building contest, Nunurai Masosonere, continued with his dominance, as he successfully defended his title. 

He got the better of Mutare’s home favourite, Blessing Mazikana, and Simbarashe Nyamukondiwa, who finished second and third. 

Privilege Makarange and Knowledge Mudzingwa were also on the podium as they completed the top five places. 

Lynnette Tom won the women bikini category. Aaron Musarurwa won the Junior Men Body-building title ahead of Darlington Makunwa, Lewis Hlahla Thabo Sibanda and Panashe Mabika. 

Paul Bako walked away with the men’s Fitness category beating Tatenda Makoto, Collen Makodzi and Walter Sithole.
