Six clubs for Whatever soccer tournament

SIX social soccer clubs will battle it out in the Whatever Sports Bar Heroes’ Soccer Tournament at New Lobengula Grounds today.
The annual tournament which is held to celebrate the fallen heroes through soccer will see Zimra Bulawayo, Ingwebu, Unity Village, Whatever, Rebels FC and B-Metro battling it out.

Confirming the event Whatever Sports Bar promoter Gift Marvelous, Nhema popular known as “DJ Marvesto”, said they wanted to honour the heroes through sport and that it would be a family fun day to celebrate the holiday.

“We have been having this event since 2010, we also honour fallen soccer legends.
“It will be family fun day as well, so we encourage people to come in numbers and support the event,” said Nhema.

The tournament will kick off at 9am and will run up to 6pm.
The winners of the tournament will walk away with a crate of beer and a goat while runners-up will get two crates of beer.

Former AmaZulu midfield maestro Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda and former Highlander skipper Dazzy Kapenya are some of the veterans expected to take part at the tournament.
