Six MDC-T members survive traffic accident

 

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon near Mataga Growth Point in Mberengwa.

The six were going to a provincial party rally at the growth point where Public Service Minister Lucia Matibenga was the guest of honour.

MDC-T party spokesperson for Midlands South province Councillor James Tsuro confirmed the accident.
He said the six injured were taken to Mberengwa’s Musume Mission Hospital.

“I can confirm that six members of our party were involved in an accident while they were going to a meeting which was held at Mataga Growth Point in Mberengwa on Saturday. They were transferred to Zvishavane District Hospital from Musume Mission Hospital where they were initially admitted following the accident,” he said.

Clr Tsuro said three others had since been discharged from Zvishavane Hospital.

“The other three who were seriously injured, including Clr Zhou, who was driving, are still in hospital. We wish them a quick recovery,” he said.
