SIX groups have so far booked their places at this year’s edition of the Chibuku Road To Fame finals.

The grand finale has been slated for October 14 at Takashinga Cricket Club in Highfield.

Four more slots are still up for grabs in Harare, Bulawayo, Masvingo, and Mashonaland West.

Manicaland’s mbira group, Deze raWasu, and Kweseka from Mat North, are the latest finalists after booking their places at the weekend.

Organisers say the level of competition witnessed so far points to an exciting national final.

“We are now halfway through to the finals and already looking forward to a tight contest.

“I am happy with the level of participation and professionalism from our participants,” said Delta Corporation marketing director Irimayi Muzorewa.

Harare and Masvingo will host their preliminary round this coming Saturday.

The six already qualified teams are Famous Mighty Boys (Mash East), All AfroJazz (Midlands), High 5 (Mash Central), Ziyadhuma Express (Mat South), Deze raWasu (Manicaland) and Kweseka (Mat North).
