Six Zim officials appointed for COSAFA Under 17

REGIONAL football body COSAFA have appointed six Zimbabwean match officials to be part of the officials for the upcoming Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifier 2025.

ZIFA announced in a statement that Thanks Nyahuye, Lawrence Zimondi, Dominica Melusi, Brighton Chimene, Ruzive Ruzive and Morris Banda will be up for the tournament set to be hosted in Harare from September 11–20.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association is delighted to announce that six of our match officials have been appointed by COSAFA to officiate at the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifier 2025, to be hosted in Harare from 11–20 September 2025,” said the ZIFA statement.

“They will join the COSAFA delegation in Harare from 5 September 2025 ahead of the tournament. ZIFA extends its congratulations to the selected officials.

“Their appointments are a reflection of their dedication, professionalism, and the continued growth of refereeing standards in Zimbabwe. We wish them all the best as they carry our nation’s flag with pride and excellence.”

The Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifier 2025 will feature 12 teams battling for the ticket to reach the continental finals of the CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations to be held next year.
