know the Mashonaland regional leader as well.
Speaking at a Zanu-PF Provincial Co-ordinating Committee meeting in Gwanda on Sunday, Cde Khaya Moyo said the party’s constitution had no provision for regional leaders.
He said such positions were a creation of the mischievous private media whose agenda was to create divisions in the revolutionary party.
“The private media has been harping for a very long time that there are regional leaders.
“There is nothing like that in the party.
“The highest organ of the party is the congress, below which there is the central committee elected by the provinces and endorsed by the congress.
“No-one in the party can ever be a regional leader but a national leader. Nobody fought for an area or a region, but we all fought for Zimbabwe. Where then is this issue of regional leaders coming from? Zanu-PF Matabeleland South provincial chairperson Cde Andrew Langa expressed worry that the province had not yet received
the long promised US$2 million worth of stock feed from Government.
The US$2m was part of efforts to protect the national herd and avert the continued loss of livestock in the province.
