SK Moyo weds

held under the stars, was attended by 30 close relatives and friends of the happy couple on Africa Day.

The choice of day underpinned Cde Khaya Moyo’s Pan African ideals, the source said.

Heads of Christian Denominations chairperson Dr Goodwill Shana solemnised the wedding.

A relative who spoke on condition of anonymity said the groom (66) and his 55-year-old bride, a business woman from Bulawayo, had been together for 12 years having met after Cde Khaya Moyo separated from his ex-wife Ms Sibonokuhle Getrude Ngwenya many years ago.

Sources close to the family said Cde Khaya Moyo and his sweetheart delayed their wedding because his divorce to Ms Ngwenya had not been finalised.

The divorce was granted on February 20 this year.

The wedding, which was described as a small but classy affair, had been expected for a long time by close friends and relatives of the couple.
