Barangiro, who is now 50, is a born and bred Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe member. He has now released another album called “Mimhanzi Church Hymns Volume 3.”
Said Barangiro; “Our mission is to take the church back to its origins. We want to sing all the 150 songs in the hymn book. So far we have managed to sing 31 songs from Volume 1 and 2 and 3. We get overwhelming response from Christians and non-Christians. New covenants need to learn songs from our hymn book as well as singing them in the correct way.
“There is need to put them the way our forefathers used to do. Generations to come should be able to sing them. I want the atmosphere to change when listening to the hymns whether you are driving your car, or you are at home. Volume 3 is a polished product. Even our elders in church are very happy with the way we are singing the hymns,” he said.
“The Bible says when the praises go up His glory comes down. God loves worship. Regardless of your circumstances, one needs to praise God,” he added.
The powerful songs include “Mwari Uri Zuva Redu” meaning someone is admitting that if God is my equipment and when he is on my side who can be against us.
In “Mweya Wangu uneMuponesi” someone will be admitting that ‘I belong to God only’. Other songs include “Nguva Yakanakisa”, “Ngatimukudzei Mwari”, “Zadzisa Chirevo Chako”, “Hakuna Hama Kupinda Jesu”, “Rakanaka Iro Zuva”, “Jesu Ndanga Ndakurasa” and “Mambo Jesu Watidaidza”.
Barangiro also confirmed that Volume 3 is the best as their expertise improved from Volume 1 and 2. He said they managed to sing deeper songs in the hymn book and were enriched in the way it was played and the voices were more polished.
One could not resist the fact that, when you listened to the hymns they usher in a conducive atmosphere for prayer and they preach the gospel.
Barangiro promised that Volume 4 will be coming out soon as they seek to capture international market. Also featuring in the album is his daughter Abigail Dhemba.
