POPULAR Motswana musician-cum-dancer Slizer (real name Naledi Kaisara) is set to travel to Zimbabwe next month for a month-long tour to launch her latest album and DVD. Her manager Gift Petro confirmed the tour saying preparations were underway.
“Slizer will be touring the country next month for the marketing and launch of her latest album Bozoka and its DVD. We have started making preparations and she will perform in Zvishavane, Masvingo, Harare, Kwekwe and Mutare,” he said.
Petro said they were going to engage some local artistes, especially the up-and-coming ones, to be part of Slizer’s month long tour.
After her tour, Slizer will donate goods to a children’s home of her choice as a way of giving back to the Zimbabwean society.
“She decided to donate because she appreciates the support she has been receiving from our local fans,” Petro said.
Slizer, who was in the country last month, gave a well polished act in Masvingo at a charity show that featured Sulumani Chimbetu.
The Motswana has been at the centre of controversy after her alleged affair with sungura musician, Peter “Igwe” Moyo.
She started her music career over a decade ago as a backing vocalist for various renowned Batswana groups, including Franco and Alfredo Mos.
She rose to fame with her debut album O Tswa Kae in 2008.
Slizer is not new to Zimbabwean fans as she has left them yearning for more wherever she has performed in the country. She also collaborated on a love song with afro jazz singer Prince Musarurwa.
