On Saturday night, Mawhoo brought vibrant energy to the Queens Sport Club grounds in Bulawayo, delivering an electrifying performance despite the intimate crowd.
The South African artiste’s 30-minute set, featuring hits like “Ngilimele” and “Ngiyamthanda” kept the audience thoroughly entertained.
In a post-show interview with Chronicle Showbiz, Mawhoo expressed gratitude for the warm reception, emphasising the genuine connection with the audience in Bulawayo. Despite the modest turnout, she felt a strong sense of love and connection, stating, “Even though the audience was small, I really felt at home as people were happy and responding to my music.”
The event showcased a stellar lineup of DJs, including DJ Wellyonz, Kotwane Hikwa, Reno Life, Boyzn Ishuz, DJ Stout, Prince Eskhosini, Emity Smooth, Ras Obido, and more, ensuring the audience enjoyed the night. Major Proedi, serving as the MC, added to the lively atmosphere with his dance moves.
Despite the lower-than-expected turnout, the night proved that the size of the crowd did not diminish the impact of Mawhoo’s performance, highlighting the genuine connection forged with the enthusiastic audience in Bulawayo.
