Small things that matter

Tracy Mutowekuziva
Mother Theresa once said, “Our efforts might be a drop in the ocean, but if we don’t do it. That drop will be forever missing.”
What Mother Theresa was trying to ascertain is that, even if we feel like what we are doing is insignificant or is not making an impact, it is something.
When you want to accomplish your dreams don’t wait for that time when you will have all the money in place, all the time and all the connections. Just do the little you can at that time you have.

Don’t stop moving or dreaming just because you feel like you are not going anywhere.
This starts with minding every minute you spend. Learn to be accountable for the 24 hours you have every day and be proud of it.

I was once fascinated by an advert by a certain company.
They were conducting a seminar and they wrote the fee as cost/investment. The question that l asked myself was that, can l be able to do this?

Can l replace the word cost with the word investment.
If l am not able to do that, it means l am wasting both money and time.

One must be able to replace the word cost with the word investment . If not, you are incurring unnecessary costs.
These are the little things that matter. Just know where your every dollar and every minute is going and everything will flow.

Not only are we supposed to know where our money and time are going, we need to see if whatever we are doing or spending time doing is worth it, is it a cost or an investment?

If you spend the whole of your night watching television and facebooking, that is not an investment.
If you spend your every dollar in movies that ain’t investment as either.

Nowadays there are many things young people can do to improve themselves to be better people.
You don’t have to wait until you are older for you to achieve your dreams.

You want to be an actor, start acting now, you want to be a business person, start now. You just start small and you will get there. If you know how to handle small stuff God will give you responsibility over big things.

In economics, there is what is called the multiplier effect. What this means is that it measures the change in the national income caused by a single injection (deposit).

This means the slight transactions we make everyday be it buying airtime or bread, causes changes in the national income.
So, the little things you do, the small novels you read, the small change you are saving up, the 10 minutes you run every morning, it is something.

Don’t stop just keep on moving.
