Social soccer league rolls into week two

The social league has been divided into two groups of 16 teams each because of the high number of teams.
The chairman of the league, Jotham Dube, yesterday said the response the league received was very encouraging.

He said registration was done on time and the first weekend of action had seen a good turnout. “We expected about 30 teams but we got 32 teams. All we can do now is to run competitive well organised leagues,” he said.

Dube called for teams to bring match balls to games or risk forfeiting points.
He called on teams to send results on time.
