COWDRAY PARK watering hole Kuvukiland Sports Bar has adopted one of the social soccer teams from the community, 94 Strivers, playing under the Bulawayo Social Soccer League.
The union will see Kuvukiland Sports Bar owned by businesswoman, Mariet Chironga assist 94 Strivers social soccer team meet some the expenses associated with taking part is the league plus also use the tavern as a home for hosting visiting teams.
Strivers vice-chairman Ronald Banda was elated about the development and hopes that this union will get stronger.
“As a team we are happy about this noble gesture as it will go a long way in helping us meet some of our financial needs. We also hope that this union will grow stronger and last longer,” said Banda.
Meanwhile, a number of social soccer matches are lined up for the day by BSSL starting in the morning.
