Soma, Macheso bromance pays off

SOMANDLA “Mafia” Ndebele and Alick Macheso are optimistic about 2023.

The seasoned entertainers will usher revellers into the new year with a joint show at Club 007 in Glendale on December 31.

The duo’s combination has grown popular with music fans as they now constantly hold joint shows.

The two sungura giants held a joint show in September at Pamuzinda Highway Xscape where they thrilled fans.

After that affair, they held another joint show on Christmas Day in Chitungwiza, which was followed by a well-attended double in Mutoko on Boxing Day.

The two camps said they are excited and looking forward to a great night in Glendale.

Speaking to H-Metro, Soma said it has been a blessing sharing the stage with Macheso.

“We have been having a good time so far. We are just coming back from Mutoko where we had a show together.

“I couldn’t resist the opportunity as it is always a blessing sharing the stage with Baba Sharo.

“31st of December is going to be a night to remember. Like always, we are promising our fans a monster hit performance,” he said.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Macheso’s publicist, Tich Makahamadze.

He said: “We are really looking forward to the new year and it is our hope that we give fans a night to remember as we make the crossover.

“We would like to thank our fans who have been loyal to us over the years, and this show is specifically for them.”
