A Western Triangle man took his son to court seeking a protection order against him for verbal abuse and theft.
Munyaradzi Mwashita said that his son, Taurai Mwashita, insults and steals from him.
“He should vacate my house. I suffered a stroke and I have tubes that I use, and I should be going to hospital for check-ups.
“But he steals my money and other things. I reported him to the police for theft,” he said.
Taurai said he did not have anything to say when asked to respond to his father’s accusations.
Magistrate Sharon Mashavira granted the protection order to Munyaradzi and advised him to report issues of theft to the police.
The order prohibits Taurai from verbally abusing or harassing his father and from entering his residence without his permission.
Any violation of the order may result in Taurai being arrested and charged with contempt of court.
