UPCOMING gospel musician, Reverend Emmah Mutisi, says she appreciates fellow musicians who supported her album launch last weekend.
Mutisi launched her fourth album, titled ‘‘Ruoko rwaJehovha,’’ which she revealed was one of her best projects. Having started her musical journey in 2017, the songbird said her career was full of ups and downs.
She, however, said she keeps on working hard and being focused.
In an interview with H-Metro, Rev Mutisi revealed that she was grateful and thankful to all her supporters.
“I would like to thank all the fellow artists and fans who supported my fourth album launch on Saturday.
“It’s really a great testimony to me and my family because the support was massive.
“The album is on demand and it has been well received by fans.
“The feedback that I am getting from listeners is really amazing, I feel humbled,” she said.
She said she was inspired by Blessing Shumba.
“Working with Blessing Shumba has always been awesome.
“He is like a mentor in the music industry and also to me. I learnt to be humble and accommodative, from Blessing Shumba.
“His music really touches souls and also heals broken hearts. I really appreciate him and everything he has done so far in my musical career,” said Rev Mutisi.
She said that she wants to push her music to international levels.
“Although our music is already followed by people outside Zimbabwe, we still have plans to push it to higher levels.
“It was my wish and hope that my music can be played by international stations.
“Through pushing it on social media, and on local radio stations, I know that I will reach there,” said Rev Mutisi.
She added:
“It is also my wish to collaborate with other prominent female musicians like Janet Manyowa, Dorcas Moyo, and others.
“Collaborations are necessary and essential to enhance one’s strength and skills.”
