THE Zifa Southern Region Soccer League has continued preparations for the 2026 season by hosting a Club Licensing, Security and Safeguarding Workshop and Induction Workshop for its member clubs on Friday.

The workshop brings together club officials from across the region and is meant to ensure teams are fully compliant with league regulations before the start of the new campaign.

The course is being facilitated by Zifa vice president Kennedy Ndebele.

Club licensing remains one of the major pillars of the workshop, with officials being taken through the requirements clubs must meet in areas such as governance, finance, infrastructure and youth development.

Security is also a major focus area, with clubs being reminded of their responsibilities in ensuring the safety of players, officials and supporters during match days.

The safeguarding component of the workshop is equally important as it aims to create a safe football environment.
