Spear and machete attack leaves Kadoma man seriously injured

A 30-YEAR- OLD man has been caged for 12 months for being part of a trio that assaulted another man at Enfield Farm in Kadoma using machetes and spears.
The three were on a revenge mission as they had long-standing grudges with the complainant.

Tongai Mudimu and two unidentified accomplices brutally struck the unnamed victim multiple times on the head, leg, and hand using dangerous weapons, machetes and spears.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) in a statement on X, said, “Tongai Mudimu (30) from Kadoma was arraigned before the Kadoma Magistrates’ Court facing assault charges.
On the 5th of August 2024, the accused person and his 2 accomplices who are still at large met the complainant at the Enfield Farm in Kadoma and teamed up to assault him.
“They struck him several times on the head, leg and hand using a machete and spears. The assault was a result of the previous grudges the accused had with the complainant. The complainant sustained serious injuries due to the assault. The accused person was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment of which 2 months were suspended for 5 years. He will serve 10 months effectively.”
