Special data bundle unveiled

Sunday Mail Reporter

In a move that will go a long way in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, the country’s biggest mobile operator, recently introduced a raft of measures that will make it easier for its customers to cope with the lockdown.

In a statement, the mobile operator announced that it is offering a special data bundle that will enable its customers to work, study and be entertained at home.

“The data bundle is meant to promote the concept of social distancing to reduce the risk that non-essential movement and contact between people may have on both the economic and social fabric of our country and our communities,” read part of the statement.

The company has also reduced customer-facing staff at its service centres. Customers are also encouraged to make use of the company’s online platforms.
