BULAWAYO Christian League outfit Spirit Filled Ministriesaï¿½ï¿½ unbeaten streak came to a halt when they wereAï¿½ baptised by Rising Stars in a top of the table clash last week.

The defeat came just a few weeks before the 2018 mid-season break.

Spirit Filled Ministries gaffer Farai MunagoAï¿½ was unperturbed with the loss.

aï¿½?Although we succumbed to our first defeat last weekend we are still five points ahead of second-placed Flying Stars in the log. I am totally confident that this is our year,aï¿½? said Munago.

Taking a cue from the Premier Soccer League Munago said he would be beefing up his squad during the mid-season break.

aï¿½?I will be beefing up my strike force during the mid-season break because one of our key strikers was injured at the beginning of the season while the other one, Japheth NdebeleAï¿½ is usually committed with school rugby since he coaches Milton High school,aï¿½? said Munago.

In other matches, Flying Stars beat Brethren in Christ Church (BICC) while Victory Fellowship beat Saints 2-1.

ZCC prevailed over Assemblies of God 3-2 in a five-goal thriller while Word of Life baptised Eagle Life.
