SOUTH African gospel group Spirit of Praise is expected to bring the house down with praise and worship tonight at Hippodrome in Braeside.
Spirit of Praise is set to perform alongside a host of other gospel musicians as part of the Spirit of Praise Nine Zimbabwe Tour.
An array of gospel musicians like Benjamin Dube, Dumi Mkokstad, Omega, Mmtema, Mpumi Mtsweni, Takie Ndou, Ayanda Nyanzi, Canaan Nyathi, Sindi Ntombela and Everton Mlalazi are set to perform at the concert.
Organisers of the show have promised a night of worship and a night to shut down November with praise.
Rumbidzai Matinanga said that the show was aimed at uniting Africa through the presence of God, adding that the “line-up is good enough for a night of praise and worship”.
“Gospel lovers should expect a night of worship and this is a worship therapy show and that will shut down November with praise. This is the first Spirit of Praise show in Zimbabwe,” said Matinanga.
She said, apart from being separated by borders, the continent should be united for a noble cause.
“We are one, it’s just the borders that separate us and this show is meant to bring the presence of God through African worship.
“The show will be ushering people from the month of November which is normally associated with negatives.
“People should come in their numbers and witness their favourite musicians.
“Benjamin Dube is no stranger to the Zimbabwean fans, Canaan Nyathi is one of us, while Everton Mlalazi is popular among the gospel lovers.”
