be held at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The event was organised by Dr Mukandila Kalenga, of Masbulele Trading.
He said: “We had numerous encouraging meetings with the sponsors, but then we got confirmation of them declining two days before the concert”.
Kalenga claims his company could not be blamed for the cancellation.
“There was nothing we could do. They (the sponsors) promised to assist, but it’s unfortunate that they had other arrangements.”
Kalenga claimed the cancellation caused a loss for the company and affected their reputation. However, he apologised to fans.
“We’re very sorry about this. As an events company, we’ll carry on with our business, but we have things to carefully look into, so as not to experience this again.”
The company could not say how many people booked for the concert. — Sowetan.
