FENCORP GLOBAL a Delaware domiciled communications and deal brokering firm with operations in South Africa, Gambia and Zimbabwe is in talks with the government on the possible establishment of a special stock exchange for sports clubs, arts centres, music labels, film makers, production houses, and recreational clubs in Zimbabwe.
The company revealed that the primary objective of the Zimbabwe Sports, Arts, and Recreation Stock Exchange (ZSARSE) will be to provide a dedicated trading platform for entities within the sports, arts, and recreational sectors to raise capital, operate professionally, and maximise profitability.
In a proposal addressed to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation, the company noted that the initiative will be aimed at creating a sustainable ecosystem that fosters growth and development within the Sports, Arts, and Recreation industries. They said it will also allow fans, audiences, the general public and investment community to actively participate and invest in the arts, sports and entertainment that they love.
“The ZSARSE will provide a reliable and transparent marketplace for sports clubs, arts centres, music labels, film makers, production houses, and recreational clubs to raise funds for infrastructure development, talent acquisition, marketing campaigns, and other growth initiatives.
“By listing on the ZSARSE, these entities will adhere to stringent regulatory requirements, enhancing operational transparency, governance, and professionalism across the sectors. This will attract local and international investments while fostering trust among investors and stakeholders,” reads part of the proposal.
In terms of market access and liquidity, the ZSARSE will offer enhanced visibility and exposure to local and global investors, allowing for increased liquidity and trading opportunities.
“This will enable market participants to buy and sell shares in these entities, fostering a dynamic investment culture within Zimbabwe and empowering stakeholders.
The ZSARSE will act as a hub that brings together various stakeholders from the sports, arts, and recreational sectors, encouraging collaborations, partnerships, and networking opportunities. This will facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation, and the overall growth of these industries,” reads the proposal.
FENCORP GLOBAL has further confirmed their preparedness to invest significant capital into the establishment of the stock exchange and have also requested the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts, and Recreation to establish a specialised task force that will work with their team of professionals and regulatory bodies, to design and implement the necessary legislative framework required for the establishment and smooth operation of the ZSARSE.
“FENCORP GLOBAL, as the proponent, commits to providing the required technical infrastructure, including trading platforms, settlement systems, and information dissemination channels. We will collaborate with local and international technology partners to ensure the exchange operates with the highest standards of security, efficiency, and reliability.
“We will arrange educational programmes and awareness campaigns to support the understanding of the stock exchange mechanisms and investment culture among participants. This will be done in collaboration with the Ministry and other stakeholders,” reads the proposal.
The company revealed that with the establishment of the stock exchange, this would revolutionise the targeted industries, providing a platform for growth, innovation, and profitability, which will enable sports clubs, arts centres, music labels, film makers, production houses, and recreational clubs to attract funding, operate professionally, and maximise their potential.
“The establishment of a dedicated stock exchange by FENCORP GLOBAL could be a game changer for the entertainment industry. It provides a unique opportunity for entertainment labels, sports clubs, and cultural groups to access much-needed funds, attract investors, and propel their growth.
“The introduction of such a platform not only enables these entities to flourish but also generates positive impacts in terms of job creation, economic growth, and cultural preservation. FENCORP GLOBAL has indeed presented an innovative solution that holds great potential for transforming the entertainment industry as we know it,” reads the proposal.
