Sportsmanship rewarded

It is game on with awards for some lucky best performing sports people coming up.All is set for the Tynward Primary School Sport Dinner Awards at Rainbow Towers. The awards will see pupils who excelled in the different sporting disciplines at school walking away as winners of the night. The Cool Lifestyle team is set to present the awards.

“We are expecting a lot of fireworks. Apart from the awards ceremony, there is going to be dinner, and some entertainment galore,” said the organisers.

Not to be left out of the bill is “Tynoscars” the fashion statement that will also take place on the sidelines of the event. Also on the cards is this year’s edition of KINCARD Annual Sports Awards slotted for December 6.

Scheduled to take place in Rusape, the event is expected to attract a wide audience as nominations are being called for widely by KICSRT.

Teens and teachers that have been outstanding in different sporting categories stand to walk away with awesome prizes.

Awards categories include “Best athletes of the year in various sports as well as College award of Excellency where the overall best province or person who has spearheaded sports education development policies is chosen . . .” read part of a statement from organisers.

Other categories will recognise the people that do the boring stuff and work their brains out to facilitate a smooth flow of sports in all the country’s schools.

These include the following:

  •  The best Provincial Education Director of the year in sport
  •  Best District Education Officer of the year in sport
  •  Best Provincial Sports Resource Officer of the year
  •  Best Cluster Resource Person of the year
  • Beat Head of the year in sport
  • Coach of the year
