SRC hosts admin course

THE Sport and Recreation Commission is hosting an administrative course at Queen Elizabeth School in Harare. The course has attracted 48 participants drawn from the Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Services National and sports associations.

The course covers issues such as the history of sport, how to run community sports clubs, managing volunteers in sport, sport event management, sponsorship and marketing, risk identification and mitigation and financial management.

Some of the participants include Mighty Warriors coach Rose Mugadza.

The course will end today.

“Our sport can only improve if we equip the sports managers with the necessary skills and knowledge without which we will continue to reel in problems,” the Sports Commission corporate communications executive, Trivashe Nheweyembwa, said.
