St Georges College in victorious tour to SA

St Georges College first-team rugby squad successfully toured Benoni, South Africa for the annual St Dunstan’s Easter Sports Festival where they did very well.  

The Saints managed to win all their games before they returned home over the weekend. 

The team, which recently hosted their annual Hammer and Tongues Rugby festival back home, were sent off by Joe Arimoso last Tuesday afternoon.

Hammer and Tongues, the College’s trusted benefactors chipped in and were present as they handed over the kit and jerseys. 

St Georges took on St Peter’s College whom they demolished 59-5 in their first game at the festival. 

During their second-day game, the Saints took on Spring Boys College and they were 26-17 victors. 

The last game of the tournament had the Zimbabwean side taking on the host Benoni High and they thumped them 35-18 . 

Meanwhile, the St Georges women’s first-team hockey side was also outstanding at the Best of the West Easter Festival in Krugersdorp South Africa over the Easter holidays. 

The side managed to draw three of their matches and win two.
