Stage set for Chibuku Neshamwari dance festival

ALL is set for the Chibuku Neshamwari traditional dance festival Bulawayo provincial finals taking place at the Manor hotel on Saturday.
This year’s edition will feature popular dances such as the traditional muchongoyo, Mzansi and isitshikitsha. Woza Africa, Ingwenyama Arts, Inkume Arts, Imvimbi Arts, Ezimnyama Arts, Kwabatsha Arts, Iluba Lemvelo Arts, and Sinjalo MaAfrica are some of the groups expected to battle it out for a spot in the national finals.

The group which will come out tops will pocket $500 and a ticket to represent the province at the national finals taking place on August 16 in Harare.

The first runner up will pocket $300 while the second runner up will walk away with $200.

Tonight, Khaya Arts and Ezimnyama Arts will perform at Manor Hotel as a build up to the provincial finals.

Last year’s Chibuku Neshamwari winners Umkhathi Theatre Works will provide entertainment at the finale.
