ALL is set for the Splash Explosion show featuring South African disco artiste Patricia Majalisa at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre tonight.
Majalisa and other famous names from her stable such as Peacock, Mpendulo “General”, Dumazile, Silindile Mthinyane, Thabile Mazolwane and Bongile “Stress” will take turns to thrill their fans.

The promoter of the show, Byron Lussate of Lussate Promotions, said the South African artistes were excited to be back in the country and were ready to deliver.

“This is a show not to be missed by any music fan. Majalisa and her stable are back in the country by public demand and we expect a huge turnout as this will be their last show this year,” he said.

Lussate said they had included a local artiste Martin Sibanda of Ndolwane Super Sounds to make the show appeal to a wider section of music fans.

“Fans should come in early and avoid queuing later on when the show begins. Plans have been made for gates to be opened by 6pm. This will be a great show and we want fans to be in the arena before the party starts,” he said.

The show is Majalisa’s second this year and just like the first gig, a good performance is expected. Her first show was well attended, a confirmation that Majalisa, a former Dalom Kids singer, has a huge following in the City of Kings.

Together with her fellow South African singers, Mpendulo, Silindile and Babongile, the group left Bulawayo mesmerised and the same is expected tonight.

Lussate said fans should expect their favourite songs such as Stress and Kuzolunga from Babongile.
“The group has promised top performances, with Silindile saying she will sing her famous gospel tunes, Siyabonga and Nkosi Yami which are loved by local fans,” he said.

Lussate said Majalisa was be expected to bring back old memories when she goes on stage.
“Fans should expect her to sing her hit songs such as Thembalami, Tshomi Yami, Abatsha, Ngikhathele and Akulalwa. She will also introduce a number of new acts which they have never seen before,” he said.

Majalisa and her ex-husband Dan Tshanda are credited with pioneering Splash.
