STALEMATE AT THE COOP!Gamecocks, Wifi Boys in halftime deadlock

IT’S a goalless thriller at Luveve! Chicken Inn and TelOne — dubbed the Gamecocks and Wifi Boys — are locked in a tense nil-all draw at halftime, with both sides knocking but failing to break the deadlock.

TelOne, skippered by the league’s current top marksman Washington Navaya, have bossed possession and pinned the hosts in their own half. Navaya, sitting pretty on seven goals, has been a constant threat, linking up well with Milton Chiedza and Tawanda Macheke in attack.
In the 21st minute, Navaya’s stinger was palmed out for a corner by an acrobatic Donovan Bernard. Minutes earlier, Chicken Inn’s Joseph Thulani had fluffed a half-volley, sending it sky-high.

Navaya came close again on the half-hour mark with a thumping header from a slick Macheke assist — but once again, Bernard denied him with a brilliant save.
Just before the halftime whistle, Chicken Inn’s right flank burst into life, delivering a tasty cross into the box, only for Thulani to mistime his effort.
The second half promises fireworks as both sides hunt for the elusive opener!
