Bosso are in front — and it’s Brighton Ncube who’s lit the spark at Emagumeni!
At halftime, Highlanders lead Bikita Minerals 1-0 in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League cracker, thanks to a silky 19th-minute strike by Ncube that sent the Bosso faithful into a frenzy.
The midfield maestro curled one home with finesse from inside the box after a fast-flowing move — and that moment of magic has made the difference in a thrilling first half.
But it could’ve been more!
In the 7th minute, Bosso nearly struck early after a slick interchange in the box, but fluffed their lines. Three minutes later, Marvin Sibanda’s free-kick stung the gloves of Bikita keeper Tenera Taona, leading to a goalmouth scramble that saw Reason Sibanda smash the upright.
Reason had another golden chance teed up by Never Rauzhi, but dragged his shot wide. And just minutes later, Marvin skied a free-kick from prime real estate.
Bikita Minerals haven’t just sat back either.
They almost levelled through Tadiwanashe Musariramwa, who broke free but couldn’t beat Bosso shot-stopper Reward Muza. Moments later, Muza again came to the rescue, pulling off a stunning save to deny a bullet header from Tadiwanashe Nyakope. The same player then wasted a sitter, blasting wide with only the keeper to beat.
It’s all to play for in the second half.
Bosso will feel they’ve let Bikita off the hook. Bikita, on the other hand, know the goal’s coming — if they can just find their finishing boots.
Stay locked. The second half’s about to erupt!
