A STAND-UP comedy night has been set for December 15 in Harare.
Organised by the Council Of Clowns (COC), the night, dubbed ‘Meet The Comics Part 2,’ will have Shadaya as a special guest.
Set to perform on the night are comedians such as Mike Lee, Tanya Alex, Hupepe Chule and A.C.E.
COC operations manager, Mike Chipere, said the comedy industry in the country is difficult to penetrate for stand-up comedians as they don’t have breakthrough methods utilised by mainstream comedians such as skits and series.
He said the event is aimed at making people in Zimbabwe develop a culture of watching and appreciating comedy.
“This is the second part of the show following the first held in December last year as we continue to give a platform for stand-up comedians in this difficult industry.
“Besides stand-up comedy, the night also has various comedy games aimed at bringing a sense of inclusivity between the audience and the comedians themselves.
“Shadaya is set to appear as a special guest who will be asked various questions about what he does and a clarity of the controversial conversations he steers on social media,” said Mike.
