adminAS the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair opens to members of the public today, below are stands to watch out for.
ZRP: Traditionally, the stand is a crowd puller due to its attractive displays. This year, the ZRP has embraced digital technology and has advanced LED displays to illustrate its various policing services to the country and the Southern African region.
Ministry of Information: The stand is one of the most outstanding that the public should visit as this time around the ministry has the Gushungo Monuments Gallery which chronicles President Mugabe’s social life with his family, liberation struggle and national development issues.
Rural Electrification Agency: The stand showcases the projects that the agency is rolling out in light of the power challenges facing country. The projects include the single wire earth return, solar and biogas programme.
Coca Cola fountain: The timeless marvel of the Coca Cola soft drink spouting out of a fountain still continues to draw crowds. Children always visit the fountain out of curiosity wondering if it is an actual soft drink spilling from the structure.
Zimpapers: The country’s biggest media group has on display its newspaper titles among them the Herald and Chronicle. Also on show is Star FM and BH24, the group’s online financial news site.
Main Arena: The main arena is home to various entertaining activities including police displays, parachute display, Air Force fly past and drum majorettes.
Hall 5 – housing the Chinese exhibitors.
Most Chinese exhibitors are housed in this hall with various products ranging from gym equipment to clothing.
Livestock Section: A traditional crowd puller, this year’s exhibition is no different as there are different breeds of cattle on show.
Econet Wireless: It is one of the biggest stands on show. Its a must visit given the various technological gadgets on display.
Defence Forces: It houses the Zimbabwe National Army and the Air Force of Zimbabwe. At its entrance there is a huge screen displaying some of the military tactics. Also on display is the equipment used during war.
South Africa – Hall Four: The stand is one of the most outstanding and well mounted. The stand is worth taking a visit to as it has a variety of goods and services on display which include the South African Airways, Industry and Commerce department, traditional wear and jewellery.
Women Affairs Ministry – Hall 3: It’s showcasing the handiwork of women ranging from shoes, bead work, crotcheting, clothing, handbags and the whole value chain of agricultural products.
Botswana — Hall Four: It’s likely to attract visitors due to its unique African attires and hats.

Those who want to merge ICTs and Education can find this stand interesting
E-Learning solutions also include Cyber School and ICT infrastructure and facilities set up with the goal of increasing ICT knowledge and competence in schools in the country.
