Star FM TXO Sports Star of the Week

Tinotenda Matienga is the Prince Edward School Athletics team captain who has led his team to some remarkable achievements this term.

They call him ‘Booster’ for his sprinting prowess.The 17-year-old led the Prince Edward sprints team to some record breaking races at the Peterhouse Relays Challenge last week.

Prince Edward romped to victory in the 4 X 100m, 4 X 200m and 4 X 400m races.

Matienga also ensured that Prince Edward retained their Sprints Challenge title for the fourth time in a row.

What he said:

“Balancing sport with school is very easy no matter your age or grade or whatever form you are doing.

You just need to spend your time well I personally say after practice I have to do my home work without fail.

TXO Sports is a schools program on Star FM that is on every Tuesday and Friday at 13:20.The programs also aims to help pupils interested in broadcasting. So get in touch!
