broadcaster of choice over the past year.
Commenting on the latest feather in Star FM’s cap, Zimpapers chief executive officer Mr Justin Mutasa said he was excited that Mutare was now part of the national family of listeners who are enjoying its broadcasts.
According to the latest Zimbabwe All Media Products Survey (Zamps), Star FM already has 555 904 listeners. Mr Mutasa said with broadcasts now airing in Mutare – and with more expansion planned in future – Star FM’s listenership was set on a growth trajectory.
“We are happy that Star FM is now in Mutare and already the reception has been overwhelming. We are going to commission it on April 5 starting with a road show in the CBD and then we hit Dangamvura. Later in the evening, there will be a cocktail for the business community.
“Indeed, good times will be rolling in Mutare and this is an opportunity for businesses to extend their markets through Star FM,” he said.
Mr Mutasa said once the radio rollout plan was complete, the focus would be on television.
“Now that we are in Mutare we are going to move to Masvingo and Beitbridge then Gweru, Victoria Falls and Mutorashanga so that we become a national radio station,” Mr Mutasa said.
Listeners have a choice to benefit from Star Life, a funeral policy that promotes a database of loyal listeners to the radio station. It also offers flexible funeral cover at affordable prices.
