Starafrica Corporation Limited announces resignation of company secretary and appointment of acting secretary

STARAFRICA Corporation Limited has announced the resignation of Mr Albert Sigei from the position of company secretary, with effect from 31 December 2023.

Mr Formai Myambuki has since been appointed to replace him as the acting company secretary with effect from 1 January 2024.

Mr Musemburi had been with the company for 12 years and four months.

The company said under his leadership, it successfully implemented the Secondary Scheme of Arrangement with creditors and navigated through the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Starafrica Corporation Limited wishes to advise of the resignation, due to retirement, of Mr Aldo J Musemburi from the position of company secretary, with effect from 31 December 2023.

“The company also takes this opportunity to advise on the appointment of Mr Formai Myambuki, who is the current Finance Director, as acting company secretary, effective 1 January 2024,” reads the notice from Starafrica.

“Mr Formai Myambuki is a Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) with more than 14 years’ experience. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences degree and postgraduate Diplomas in Accounting Sciences and Applied Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

“The Board congratulates Mr Myambuki on his appointment and wishes him success in his new role.”
