THE fastest-growing radio station in the country, Star FM will be in Gweru today celebrating World Radio Day with youth there. The celebrations running under the theme: “Radio to the Youth” will see the station broadcasting its Breakfast Club programme live from Gweru between 6AM to 9AM.
“The youthful duo of Napster “The radio master” and Nikki will present the show from the Civic Centre.
“Napster and Nikki are a true reflection that StarFM considers young people to be an integral part of radio in this country. The City of Progress is advised to watch out for these two youths as they demonstrate their skill behind the microphone,” StarFM said in a statement.
Tariro and Iyati will take over from Napster and Nikki for a live broadcast of The Breeze.
“Those who follow the Breeze know that the two ladies are experts at conversation and discussing those issues close to women and men’s hearts.
“With Tariro broadcasting live from her hometown of Gweru, listeners can expect fireworks from the two,” the statement added.
The main World Radio Day celebrations are in Harare where the Deputy Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Monica Mutsvangwa will officiate.
