State motorcade accident: unlicenced driver granted bail

An unlicenced driver who appeared in court facing allegations of ramming into a State motorcade along Bulawayo Road in Harare has been freed on $5000 bail.

Tatenda Mupariwa (26), who was being represented by lawyer Mr Simon Chabuka, was released by High Court judge Justice Jesta Charehwa.

Mupariwa was initially denied bail when he initially appeared before Mbare magistrates Mr Nyasha Vitorini charged with negligent driving and driving without a licence.
He was not asked to plead to the charges.
