State opposes Tendai Magaya’s bail

Online Reporter

The State is opposing bail for Prophet Walter Magaya’s wife, Tendai Magaya, who is facing fraud charges.

In a court session that is currently running, the State said Tendai is likely to flee, adding that she is likely to interfere with witnesses as she holds an influential position in the church.

Tendai’s lawyer, Mr Everson Chatambudza argued that the money in question was received by the company, not her.

Mr Chatambudza said Tendai did not play any part in the transactions.
