The 22-year old Chagonda said getting a scholarship to a United States university has opened more avenues for him to develop his football career.
“At the moment I am back home on a summer break but everything has been going on well for me at the university so far.

“Actually I have been working hard and the university has now developed a keen interest for Zimbabwean players,” said Chagonda.
Chagonda, however, admitted that he was still not yet ripe to play for the national team.

“I still feel that I need a little bit more time to develop and at the moment I am progressing well,” he said.
Chagonda said he has also helped one Valentine Murombo to get a football scholarship at Jacksonville University in the United States.

“Valentine saw my videos on You Tube and he then contacted me. I advised him to compile a couple of his videos from football matches and then send them over to the United States.
