Stealing from A Servant of God/ the Church

2 Kings 5:25-27
Now he went in and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, “Where did you go, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant did not go anywhere.” Then he said to him, “Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is it time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants? Therefore the leprosy of Naman shall cling to you and your descendants forever.” And he went out from his presence leprous, as white as snow. (NKJV).

Stealing from an ordinary person is different from stealing from the church or a servant of God because they deal with spiritual things. Therefore, the money (which is spiritual) that belongs to them is not the same as the money that belongs to an ordinary person. They are the called ones of God and whoever wrongs them, steps on God’s toes. Everything that belongs to a servant of God is sacred and spiritual and is supposed to be treated with the utmost reverence. If you are sent on errands using church property or your pastor’s phone to perform a certain duty, use it with fear and trembling for it carries the presence of God. Do not ferry girlfriends or perform immoral transactions with them because it attracts curses upon your life and your entire generation.

Gehazi thought that he could trick Prophet Elisha by running after the man behind Elisha’s back and taking money from him. However, even though Elisha was not with Gehazi physically, his spirit went with him. Therefore, always bear in mind that no matter where you go, a servant of God cannot be duped or tricked, because his spirit will be with you. He/she may not even ask you about it but you will begin to see things falling apart in your life. Strive to be faithful and never steal or misuse anything that belongs to a man of God.

Also, never steal church money because this definitely attracts dangerous spiritual curses that will ultimately destroy your life. Stealing church money is opening unto yourself a serious destructive door of the demonic world.
