Mosi-oa-Tunya, the hosts, and Fatima will be Matabeleland North’s representatives. Mpopoma won the Bulawayo berth while Mawabeni will be the Matabeleland South representatives.
The Midlands’ hopes will be pinned on Tsungai Secondary School of Gokwe while Masvingo will have two teams, the defending champions Mwenezi and the provincial winners Pamushana. Rimuka will represent Mashonaland West and St Joseph’s High School will carry Manicaland’s hopes.
Harare is represented by Seke 1 while Chifamba bears the burden of expectation for Mashonaland Central with Jekwa of Mashonaland East completing the list.
There were provincial finals to decide who joins hosts Mosi-Oa-Tunya.
The hosts’ headmaster Roland Sibanda, yesterday confirmed that the pitches were ready and manpower in place for what should be a memorable tournament.
Birthwell Ndlovu, the Matabeleland North head-in-charge of netball yesterday said teams were expected at the resort town by last night with matches set to start this morning.
“All is in order and we are expecting the schools to be touching down today (yesterday) for our games tomorrow,” Ndlovu said.
Tanganda national sales and administration manager Farai Garai said they were ready as the sponsors to stage good finals today.
“We have been doing this competition for a long time and as Tanganda we are saying let us do our part in making a difference for our girls, let us help them keep fit and active, away from destructive behaviour,” he said.
