TAMIRIRASHE Chiramba is a 24-year-old innovator who is committed to inspiring young Zimbabwean girls to pursue careers in STEM.
A Rhodes Scholarship finalist, she holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Harare Institute of Technology.
Tamirirashe is also a certified trainer for kids through Africa Code Week, where she empowers the younger generation to unlock their full potential in digital technology.
She has played a key role in fostering a more diverse and inclusive tech space in her previous position as the Core Lead of the Google Developer Student Club. Tamirirashe’s personal achievement serves as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring individuals, particularly young girls, to pursue their dreams in STEM fields.
She is the co-founder of Ormofo Tech Labs, which is dedicated to developing innovative solutions that address tangible, real-world issues.
“What fuelled my journey is an unwavering passion for coding, which propelled me to attain certification as a trainer for kids through Africa Code Week.
“In this capacity, I aim to empower them to unlock their full potential in the ever evolving digital landscape,” said Tamirirashe.
“As the former Core lead of the Google Developer Student Club, I played a key role in fostering a more diverse and inclusive tech space.
“I have tried to break down barriers and ensure that opportunities within the tech industry are accessible to individuals from all walks of life.”
Tamirirashe’s entrepreneurial pursuits continue to drive positive change and make a lasting impact on her community.
“My journey serves as a reminder that passion, perseverance and a commitment to inclusivity can shape the future of technology and innovation,” she said.
