Stern warning to land barons

GOVERNMENT has warned land barons and unscrupulous housing cooperatives against preying on desperate home-seekers.

Speaking during a tour of Capevalley Properties housing development in Norton last week, National Housing and Social Amenities Minister Daniel Garwe said there will be stiff penalties for land barons.

“There is no room for land barons in the New Dispensation. We have no apologies to make. We are arresting land barons. You should also help us to arrest these land barons because you are the victims.”
