Ever wondered what Steve Chikoti and Steve Makoni share in common? Well, besides having the same names, they are both soloists and they are known for poking fun whenever they perform on stage. Added to this, they are both social commentators. Well, tonight, Chikoti or simply Bra Steve to fans, will be performing his solo show at ZimCafe Restaurant where he meets his mature audience.
Chikoti, who hails from Mutare, has performed in the capital regularly but this is his first time at the venue where he is expected to feature on a weekly basis to entertain music lovers as they wine and dine in the cool ambience.
His repertoire includes some laid- back numbers and almost always he engages the crowd by inviting them to sing along with him making it an inclusive show.
In an interview, Chikoti promised a wonderful time at the gig saying he was going to give fans a foretaste of new songs from his upcoming album.
Isaac Neshamba aka F&B guru of ZimCafe said Chikoti will be the regular performer on Saturday night at the restaurant.
“The Saturday night entertainment will now be different because Chikoti will be entertaining our patrons. His music goes down well with the mature crowd that come at the venue. Another interesting feature now is that as a restaurant we now serve breakfast throughout the day.
“We also have broadened our menu especially for those who love traditional dishes we have hanga, road runners, tsuro, musoro wemombe, tongue, trotters and lamb and others. The restaurant is open daily from 12.30pm until 10.00pm.
On our Western dishes we now offer the famous pork chops, T-bone, marinated chicken and pastas and others. The wide selection should excite our diners while they enjoy the cool vibes,” he said.
