Stix, Manondo win August gongs

Tadious Manyepo Sports Reporter
BLACK Rhinos coach Stanford “Stix” Mutizwa has made an immediate impact since taking over from Herbert Maruwa in July with the legendary midfielder spicing the good run by winning the Coach of the Month for August.

Mutizwa presided over two Castle Lager Premier Soccer League games over the period and one Chibuku Super Cup in the first round against CAPS United.

His charges beat Chicken Inn 2-1 and held FC Platinum to a 1-1 draw at Mandava while they also eliminated CAPS United via a 1-0 victory in the Chibuku Super Cup.

Despite his team punching below their weight, Makepekepe’s William Manondo, who in all fairness, given his stats and the environment he is operating in should be a strong contender for the Soccer Star of the Year, bagged, for the second time, the Player of the Month.
